Judicial Council of California (JCC) – formerly known as the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judicial_Council_of_California
With the right leadership, the Judicial Council can become the cornerstone in evolving the courts to ensure fair and balance for all. The question is do we have the right leadership? Without strong representatives from the general public (the JCC is almost entirely run by attorneys), the attorney centric/friendly courts will likely continue to be an unfriendly and unwelcome place for the self represented. However, if we give the JCC the benefit of the doubt...their move to a stronger centralized court council could be a move in the right direction. Also, I believe Jody Patel is the visionary we need to evolve the courts; however, she will need public support outside of the council to execute the JCCs vision in the public's best interest.
What a stronger Judicial Council can do –
The "American Injustice System" is much easier to fix if the courts are centralized and unified under one governing body (i.e. people from San Diego should expect consistency and "fair and balance" rulings if they go before a Los Angeles court). True objectivity is having all courts aligned in the publics best interests.
Who is opposed to a stronger Judicial Council (JCC)? The group of attorneys and judges which was established to oppose everything from the JCC, the Alliance of California Judges. Who/what is the Alliance of California Judges?...
The alliance for judges is supposed to provide a check and balance for the JCC; however, they have No/Zero representation from the general public. Therefore, this is nothing more than a special interest group for judges and attorneys who want to complicate the system to pad their wallets. For example, alliance members supported the ferocious fight against the self represented to ensure Judge Thomas Trent Lewis could keep his unconstitutional supplement/kick-back benefits.
A wolf in sheep's clothing? If you were to take the Alliance to task on how they define themselves (see below) you will find this group is not who they say they are.
The Alliance of California Judges is a group of judges in California that formed because of disagreements with the California Administrative Office of the Courts. The group's initial goal was to create legislation for a "Bill of Rights" that would give trial courts a greater voice in the management and funding decisions of the state.[1]

The mission statement of the Alliance of California Judges, from the organization's website, is:

Commission for Judicial Performance (CJP) - Another attorney run organization
The Judicial Council of California (JCC) serves a purpose to CA and with the appropriate leadership can help deliver on the concept of fair and balance in our courts; however, the CJP has no purpose other than to keep our justices conduct in check (i.e. judges can get away with anything as long as they are somewhat cordial). Until significant changes are implemented through the JCC (or another governing body) - CA does not need the mockery which the Commission's for Judicial Performance has become. For instance: The Appellate Court literally mocked the role of CJP in their unpublished opinion in the civil case against Judge Thomas Trent Lewis (unpublished – the comments cannot be cited).
California wasted $4,343,000 2015-2016 fiscal year on the infective Commission for Judicial Performance (CJP) – Until an infrastructure is in place to make the CJP an effective organization the CJP should be dissolved…for more on the Commission for Judicial Performances poor track record, please view the movie which exposes this significant tax payer burden – DivorceCorp.com
Your Vote:
VOTE people into office with a business background - the private sector would not accept/tolerate the bloat and miscarriage of justice in our Family Law system. Optimized elite businesses have effectively centralized functions which reduce cost and greatly increase efficiency. The private sector elite hold their leaders accountable and leverage best practices to streamline operations through simplified standardized processes and procedures…Applied to family law, this means one system we all can understand which does not tolerate judicial abuse/abusers.

Judicial Council of California (JCC) – formerly known as the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC)

Also, I believe Jody Patel is the visionary we need to evolve the courts; however, she will need public support outside of the council to execute the JCCs vision in the public's best interest.
What a stronger Judicial Council can do –
- Implement best practices throughout the CA court system. The current fractured court system does not effectively leverage good people practices from other counties. Example: Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) best-practices in San Diego are not leveraged in Los Angeles.
- Implement standardized systems, processes and practices – Go to any county court and you will see every court is re-inventing the wheel…An extremely costly way to conduct business. Example: The Appellate Court Clerk’s systems, processes and practices are far superior to the “Superior” Court. Also, how in the world does the court justify the Superior Court Civil Appeals Division – significant cost and confusion is easily avoided by moving this function to the Appellate Court Clerk’s office.
- Apply the letter of the Law – This site provides many examples where the letter of the law is not applied and far too much “discretion” is given to judges, which inevitably leads to opportunities for bias and subjective rule. Practices, rules and procedures must be written for the general public (the mass majority), not those with 10yr law degrees and decades of court prowess.
- Eliminate corruption - To demonstrate judicial unity across CA the Judicial Council must support the eradication of the unconstitutional kick-backs/benefits and tax fraud which counties like Los Angeles are propagating. These kick-backs have proven to be extremely costly incentives for greedy immoral judges, they certainly are NOT incentives for judges of/for the people.
- Establish an accountable court system which evaluates its judges on fair and balanced (ceasing Winner-Take-All divorces immediately). Example: The Elkins Task Force was a colossal failure, because it had to be “adopted” by the courts – all of us know a judge is not a personality type to admit fault and change bad practices.
The "American Injustice System" is much easier to fix if the courts are centralized and unified under one governing body (i.e. people from San Diego should expect consistency and "fair and balance" rulings if they go before a Los Angeles court).
